From about 3000 BC to 2000 BC in England, circular henge monuments began to replace enclosures as centres for local population or tribe. Wessex emerged as the most important centre in England. Some archaeological sites reveal large wooden buildings, palaces or assembly halls built inside henges. Small houses, round barrows were built, and long barrows continued.

In South-Eastern Britain, earthen barrows with internal wooden chambers existed. Flint mining centred on East Anglia.

In Scotland, and North-West Britain, chambered cairns or barrows with stone interiors (megaliths) were made. Stone circles and houses were built in Scotland.

In Ireland stone passage tombs were made.

The Second Dynasty of kings begins in Egypt with Pharaoh Hetepsekhemwy. The Pharaohs who follow him in this dynasty are Reneb, Ninetjer, Peribsen and Khasekhemy. The Second Dynasty runs parallel with the still existing First Dynasty until about 2686 BC (Ref. Enclopaedia Britannica), then continues for about another 36 years thereafter until 2650 BC. So this second dynasty lasts for about 240 years.

Noah is now aged 54 years. Adam has previously died (3070 BC). Enoch has been "taken" by God (3013 BC). Seth has previously died too (2958 BC). Enos, Cainan, Mahalale, Jared, Methuselah, and Lamech are all still living. So there are seven generations of the Adamic peoples alive on the earth at this time.

The bible gives only the generations of these men through whom the genealogy was carried for tracing the line of Adam through to the birth of Lord Jesus Christ. According to the records in Genesis chapter 5, these men did have other children in their families; so their subsequent offspring also populated the areas "east of the Garden of Eden".

Many present and past researchers have thought that the descendants of Seth's family became known as the Shepherd Kings who, many years later, settled in Egypt around the time of the Twelfth Egyptian Dynasty.

Possible date that the great Egyptian Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) was built; however the Enc. Britannica gives a date of 2589 BC to 2566 BC for the reign of Cheops (Khufu), that is Khufu's reign began another 36 years later. Also, many current researchers (c. 1998-89 AD) are of the opinion that the Sphinx and maybe the great Pyramid of Cheops can be backdated several thousand years before 4000 BC - maybe to about 10,000 BC.

According to David Davidson, pyramid explorer, if one looked out of the pyramid in 2625 BC, from the Descending Passage looking towards the entrance to the pyramid, one could see the polar star Thuban.
