| The bible records the amount of silver collected as 100 talents and 1775 shekels. there were 3000 shekels of silver to the talent, so 100 talents would be equal to 300,000 shekels, plus 1775 shekels giving a total of 301,775 shekels. Exodus 38.24-26 gives the record of all moneys collected. |
"All the gold that was occupied for the work in all the work of the holy place, even the gold of the offering, was twenty and nine talents, and seven hundred and thirty shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary. "And the silver of them that were numbered of the congregation was an hundred talents, and a thousand seven hundred and threescore and fifteen shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary: "A bekah for every man, that is, half a shekel, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty men." |
TOTAL = 603,270 shekels
|
| At first glance, the totals of the monies collected do not appear to have much to interpret as far as Bible Numerics is concerned, but further investigation below will give us a most interesting picture. It does seem apparent, however, that the silver collected represented the "atonement" monies because the total silver amount was equal to half a shekel of silver per man for the total number of Israel men of military age. |
| The tabernacle silver's total amount can be equated to numeric values as shown above, and some interpretations can be equated to the information listed in the following table. Surely, the symbolism of the collected silver atonement monies reflects the measure of God's Word in relation to building the temple or tabernacle of His people - the place where He communicates with man. The number seven, indicating the importance of spiritual perfection is prominent here. |
