The numbers revealed through this study of the Tabernacle Treasury, relate to our offerings of monetary and material things, and ourselves, as against God's Word and His requirements of us.

The study into the Treasury, gave at first glance, an adequate supply of building materials for the Tabernacle. But a closer look revealed that there was (and still is) a deficiency from man himself, because he was without Jesus Christ. And when the Tabernacle was constructed about 1552-1551 BC, man was not without God, but indeed, was without the prophetic fulfilment of Jesus Christ who would show the Way to complete spiritual perfection, resurrection and everlasting life.

We are to measure ourselves, our behaviour, and our communication with God. We do this through Jesus Christ, who showed the Way. The times and the seasons of bible prophecies can be measured too. In this chapter, we have drawn upon five of the seven sources of information available to us to measure and interpret the significance of the Tabernacle Treasury, namely

1. The Word of God and His Son Jesus Christ

2. The Tabernacle of Moses

3. The Pyramid of Cheops

4. Bible Numerics

5. The design of the Solar System and the Heavens

We hope and pray that God has blessed us with

6. the guidance of His Holy Spirit,

in which case we have drawn upon six of the seven sources of information.

The seventh source of information available to us, is to look at the time scales of world events, from the past through to the present time. In the last section of the Introduction chapter of this work "The Adamic Age - The Beginning and the End" there is drawn a summary chart of the past European world kingdoms from when Rome was founded through to the present time. The chart was drawn in relation to Daniel's interpretation of Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar's dreams of the image and the tree. Daniel's interpretation of these dreams emphasised the "seven times" of prophecy, and these times appear to have been fulfilled in 1917 AD if we take the timescale from the date that Daniel interpreted Nebuchadnezzar's dream circa 603 BC; and 1958 AD, if we take the timescale from the date that Nebuchadnezzar died circa 562 BC. "Seven Times" is 2520 "sacred" years. If we take "seven times" from when the Temple was restored in Jerusalem 521-517 BC, then we arrive at 1999 AD - 2003 AD. And even then, we don't have accurate timings, because we need to add "1 year" because there was no year "zero" between BC and AD.

When dealing with prophecies and time-scales, it's always best to wait for events to happen, rather than try to predict actual dates that events will happen. Jesus told his disciples that it is not for us to know the day or the hour of his coming, that He did not know, but only His Father in heaven knew when this time would be. But we can certainly get a feeling of approximate time-frames when things may happen, or begin to happen. Jesus gave us "signs", and we are told to "watch and pray".

When we look at prophetic time scales, measures can be in days or years. An extended measurement is that a day in God's sight is "as a thousand years", and this is written in the scriptures of the Bible. So we can regard a day, prophetically, as a thousand years as well.

A prophetic time is 360 days, or 360 years, or maybe even 360,000 years. I like to think of this 360 time scale as a "sacred" time, because it is the mean average between the lunar time of 354.3672 days and the solar time of 365.2425 days. The difference between the lunar and solar timescale is 10.8753 days, or say, 11 days. Here is that important number eleven appearing again.

"One hour" of a thousand-year day would be equivalent to 41.6 years.

"One hour" of a 360-year day would be equivalent to 15 years.

"One hour" of a one-year day would be 15 days.

When measuring time, we should consider the length of time between the lunar and solar measurements, because this could range from between 11 literal days to 11 years, and indeed, with the extended 1000 year day, the difference between lunar and solar measurements could be close to 11,000 years.

By applying the 2520 time-measure to the dates from when Daniel interpreted Nebuchadnezzar 's dream (603 BC), and the completion of the new Temple (517 BC), we can at least acknowledge that prophetically, we are living in exciting times.

There was one person in the scriptures who played a vital role in prophecy, and in particular, the announcement of the imminent arrival of Jesus Christ. The scriptures say that he is to be prominent again before the second advent of Jesus Christ. That person was Elijah. The book of Malachi, in the Old Testament of the Bible, describes Elijah, in that he

One number was prominent when we analysed the value of the silver that was put into the silver sockets which held up the perimeter of boards around Moses Tabernacle. These silver sockets and their tenons held together the framework of the Tabernacle, and gave it strength. The value of that silver was 288,000 shekels.

The number 288 is a number denoting the cycle of restoration. If we multiply this number by 10, we have a completed cycle of time. "Ten" is the number of completion. In the New Testament of the Bible, Matthew chapter 17, verses 10-13 says that Elijah is to "restore all things" before the great and terrible day of the Lord.

At the gathering of Jesus' disciples at the time of the Ascension, they were promised that they would be baptised with the Holy Spirit some days' later. The disciples asked Jesus if the kingdom would be restored to Israel at that time. During the time of Jesus, the "lost" ten tribes of Israel had been dispersed among nations of the world since their capture by the Assyrians, and subsequent dispersal, some 700 years before the birth of Christ. Also, there was some additional dispersal of the remaining two tribes when the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem at the time of King Nebuchadnezzar. Not all of the people of those two tribes returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple when the time came to do so. So the disciples in Jerusalem at the time of Jesus' Ascension, were still concerned as to when their 12-tribed kingdom would be restored. The bible quotes their concern:

This prophecy does not seem to have been fulfilled. John the Baptist came in the power and spirit of Elijah, but he was rejected and beheaded before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, though there were many who were baptised and followed his teaching, and the teaching of Jesus Christ as a result. Whether Elijah is to return in person to earth, or whether or not his return is symbolic in the power and spirit of Elijah moving among God's people, only time will tell with the eventual filfulment of this prophecy. Jesus' answer to the disciples was not committed, but he did not deny that there would be such a restoration of the kingdom in the future. When will this time be? Can we get any clue from the number 2880?

My chronological studies placed the first recorded arrival of Elijah on the scene of biblical history, at the time of King Ahab about 915 BC, and Elijah was translated 22 years later, around 893 BC. If the birth of Jesus was 4 BC, then it was

years after Elijah was translated. And "888" is the numeric value of "Jesus". The "plus two" indicates that the cycle is not yet complete. Let's apply the great restoration number of 2880 to the translation and departure of Elijah around 893 BC:

Were there any significant events in 1986-7 AD?

1 Jan 86: Spain and Portugal joined the European Economic Community (EEC). They were the 11th and 12th members to join. Was this the fulfilment of the final formation of the toes of Iron and Clay of Nebuchadnezzar's dream Image which began with the Kingdom of Babylon as the image of gold?

28 Jan 86: The tragic crash of the Challenger Spacecraft. Was this symbolic of Nimrod's quest (Nimrod the founder of Babylon) to reach for the heavens.

The years 1986-1987 did see signfiicant events occur which would form a solid foundation for world events to come. These included political, economic and religious events, as well as the strategic moves of the worldly kingdoms. And there were indeed "signs" in the heavens, and signs in environmental tragedies, not to mention the importance of the 70th Hebrew Jubilee in relation to bible prophecy. In these two years alone, there's enough action to encourage us to seek out the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, and see that such events can be correlated with the description of the prophecies therein described.

World events escalated from 1988 onwards. Just in case we're a year or two out of syncronisation with the Israelite and Judahite kings of bible chronology, let's see what happened in the world during 1988.

8 Jan 88: A second United States stock market crash occurred.

26 Jan 88: The Australian Bicentennary - The Tall Ships visit Australia, and Prince Charles in his speech refers to the need for the nation to "Return to the Law". One is reminded of the scriptural reference:

15 May 88: Russia withdrew from Afghanistan

The year 1988, therefore, reinforced the foundation of events towards a planned implementation of the new world in the twenty-first century AD, and these events can be related to the symbolic characters referred to in the book of Revelation, especially the central books of chapters 11, 12 and 13.

Now, in 1998, eleven inclusive years later, we are fast heading toward a situation of a possible one-world government.

Returning to the question that the disciples put to Jesus about the restoration of the kingdom of Israel, the eleventh chapter of Revelation, verse 15, gives us part of the answer. Not only will the kingdom Israel be restored to the Lord Jesus Christ, but he will reign over ALL the kingdoms of this world.

Did the seventh angel begin to sound his trumpet sometime between 1986 and 1988?

This refers to the time of the end of the Adamic Age - we could be within a few years of this time now, maybe we have already reached it (4004 BC + 6000 years = 1996-1997 AD). The prophetic measurements of the great Pyramid of Cheops give the end of the Adamic Age as sometime between 17th September 2001 and 29th September 2001. The following thousand years will complete God's Great Week of 7000 years.

Not only will David's kingdom of 12-tribed Israel be returned to the Lord Jesus Christ whose right it is, but the implication in Revelation 11.15 is that ALL the kingdoms (plural) of this world will become under His jurisdiction. One's head "reels" at the impact of this situation upon the world as it is at the present time. If Jesus Christ returns say, today or tomorrow, the people of the world would crucify him again (if that was possible) just at the prospect of this thought, let alone the reality of it! From a personal viewpoint, I don't think I will ever be ready for this magnificent event, unless I have the help of the Lord Jesus Christ to withstand the enormity of the situation. Maybe a look at the life of Elijah in Old Testament times, will give hope and encouragement for things to come.

Elijah first came on the scene in the Old Testament records during the first year of the rule of King Ahab over Israel. The meaning of Elijah's name is "Yah is El" or "Yahweh is God". Apart from the reference to Elijah in the first book of Kings as "Elijah the Tishbite", no information about his background is available. He resided in Gilead, but his birthplace may have been elsewhere.

The first year of Ahab's reign over Israel was the same year as the 38th year of Asa's kingly rule over Judah. This would be about 916 or 915 BC. Ahab ruled for 22 years over Israel, and at the end of the period, Elijah was taken by God "in a whirlwind". He is generally believed to have been translated, that is, he did not die. The only other person recorded in the Bible who apparently did not die was Enoch, who was "taken". The bible says that "God took him". Enoch was a seventh generation descendant from Adam. (I have not been able to find a biblical record of the death of another person, Benjamin, the 12th son of Jacob, either. But that is another subject perhaps for another time.)

Elijah therefore came as a prophet to the Israel nation about 635 or 636 years after the construction of Moses Tabernacle about 1552-1551 BC. The timespan from1551 BC to when Elijah was "taken" in 893 BC is 658 years. The lunar reckoning of 666 "sacred years" (that is 666 / 360 * 354.3672) is 655.5793 or 656 years. So we can say that

We will see later, that when we apply the premise of the Tabernacle Cubit as 22 inches, that the length of Moses' Tabernacle was 660 inches. This could imply that the measurements of the Tabernacle boards and its curtains had some prophetic significance too. Chapter 13 of the book of Revelation says that 666 is the "number of man". The concentration of the number 6 certainly implies that from the time of the erection of Moses' Tabernacle through to the translation of Elijah, mankind was certainly trying to operate within his own strength - without God, that is.

We saw earlier in this chapter, that from when Elijah was taken, to the birth of John the Baptist who came in the "power and spirit of Elijah", and the birth of Jesus Christ six months' later, the timespan was 888 years. This number in its concentration of 8 not only pointed to Jesus' birth, death and ultimate resurrection, but to the renewal and regeneration of His chosen people, the nation of Israel, and to any who would believe, call on His name, and dedicate a life of witness for Him.

Another application to the restoration number of 288 can be applied from Elijah's translation as follows:

The year 605 BC was the date that Nebuchadnezzar received tribute in Syria from the kings of Damascus, Tyre, Sidon and others, including Jehoiakim of Judah. It was also the year that Nebuchadnezzar dreamed of the IMAGE and of the TREE. This was Nebuchadnezzar's second year as "King" of Babylon. The Bible tells us that God especially chose Nebuchadnezzar as His servant, to fulfil His requirements among the Kingdoms of the world at that time.

So God raised Nebuchadnezzar to power after one restoration period of 288 years after the translation of Elijah, so that God could begin to restore His people. He was going to do this through a series of the rise and fall of several kingdoms over a period of "seven times" (360 x 7 = 2520 years). These kingdoms included the rise and fall of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. With the subsequent division of Rome into western and eastern sections, the rise of the Papal and Mohammedan powers emerged. After 2520 years, in 1917 AD, Jerusalem was delivered from the Turkish control, and this saw the first witness of the 2520 years fulfilled.

Nebuchadnezzar died in 562 BC. In his dream of the Tree with a band of brass (the Greek kingdom), and a band of iron (the Roman empire), which was "cut off till seven times passed over him", we come through the seven times to 1957-58 AD. In March 1957 the Treaty of Rome was signed, and its implementation began in January 1958. Nebuchadnezzar was likened to the Tree, and its "roots were wet with the dew of heaven". Does this mean, that if the roots are kept moist, then they will sprout and grow again? It seems so, because here we have the powers of ancient Rome still operating, as they have done since Rome was founded in 753 BC.

Let's look at a few more dates and events which have culminated near the end of this Adamic Age.

From when Daniel interpreted Nebuchadnezzar's dream of the Image of the Tree in 603 BC till Nebuchadnezzar died in 562 BC, there was 41 years. Nebuchadnezzar's Babylonian power was at its peak for "one hour" of a prophetic thousand-year day. The book of Revelation tells us that Babylon at the end times will fall in "one hour". It will fall in "one hour", just as it ascended in power for "one hour". From when the Treaty of Rome was implemented in January 1958, through to January 1999, is 41 years or "one hour". Actually "one hour" is 41.6666 years, so maybe the extended time is further into the year of 1999.

The European Economic Community, now called the European Union, is built upon a mixture of kingdoms, represented by the toes of Nebuchadnezzar's image, mixed with iron and clay. Iron and clay don't mix - the toes will crumble and the image will fall. A "stone kingdom" (the modern-day kingdom(s) descended of God's 12-tribed nation of Israel) is to be instrumental in the breaking of the toes. And this "stone kingdom" is not to be confused with the Israeli nation which was formed in 1948.

And what does God require of us during a Jubilee Year? Everybody is freed from debt, and a holiday is declared! Now looking at the economic situation in Asia today and its effects around the world, this sounds rather wonderful. In fact, I heard on the radio news a few weeks ago, about a group of people in England, who have suggested just that - the freeing of the third world countries of their massive debts. God's law just might work at that and be closer to being implemented than we think. But let's remember, it will be done His way, not ours.

We will leave our thoughts for a while, about the prophet Elijah, and begin at last, to actually measure the Tabernacle of Moses.
